The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self vacuum-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. It makes use of AI to identify objects like charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you a picture of an object that it encounters, meaning you can tell that it is safe to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient cheap robot vacuum mop that we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills effortlessly and leaves no trace of it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.

Its design is also superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base automatic hoover robot Dirt disposal System is also self-emptying which can cut down on cleaning time.

While it's not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates and it can be difficult to know whether they're working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the best robovac choice. These robots come with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also come with various additional features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be pricey at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.

Roborock has some of our most loved robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it's not equipped with certain features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like table legs and walls which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is a place which many robot vacuums can really be a bit sloppy. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few misses in corners and on walls.

Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled using a handful of buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go areas and adjust your home map, or change the room's label.

If you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make this machine easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively simple. It has a large LCD screen that is very useful when setting up schedules and changing settings. This feature isn't required for everyone, but it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design and features are some of the most advanced available - but it's also pricey.

The base station looks nice and hides it when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The station's most appealing factor is its ability to automate numerous tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It can store clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. The majority of other robots require you to do this.

Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robot vacuum I've tested that does a good job picking up debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas of your home. It's not able climb stairs as well as competitors, and it doesn't have an dock that allows you to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't have as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price tag.

If you're looking to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are alternatives available. Many eufy models cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with more features like stairs, a fully-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of creating robot vacuums that strike a good balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app walks you through the steps needed to connect it to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be located near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it is able to be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is more modest than other models, sporting a sleek black finish and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
